Day 9-18 Not longer making an excuse!

9 days… and they’ve been EPIC! God is good, He’s really good! 

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. Nahum 1:7

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

My mind has been blown away, and God’s been right by my side! I’ve always known God was with me always but lately His presence has been so real so BIG that it’s like His breath was whispering in my ear, I could just feel it! He’s spoken to me, and taught me A LOT lately, my heart is overwhelmed with JOY! Joy was a thing I was missing, God makes me happy, His mercy and grace is ravishing! 

I’ve been everywhere you could imagine lately; church, the park, Super Summer, Falls Creek, my apartment, my grandparents house, my parents house, the ball field, nature scenes! I’ve been with this most diverse of ages; youth, children, parents, grandparents, senior adults, families, friends, colleagues!

My interaction with the world around me has been big, and God’s taught me these things…

LOVE EVERYONE! I feel the challenge to seriously stop talking bad about people! To their face or even behind their backs! Gossiping is a sin!

Rather, speaking the truth in LOVE, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into CHRIST! Ephesians 4:15

Let NO corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for BUILDING UP, as fits the occasion, that it may give GRACE to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29

and to not talk bad about people or be hateful to them, well it’s hard! Maybe it’s just me, but it seems most people like to make fun of other people and that’s just sad and shouldn’t be! God gave us a spirit of LOVE! We are called to be His ambassadors, let us praise Him with our tongue! 

Which also includes not cussing or using slang terms!!! I can honestly say I’d rather cuss than use the slang terms, they mean the same thing, most people will argue against that statement, and that’s because they enjoy the language they use…

None of the above is going to be easy but with the help from God it’s possible!!! Which is a HUGE BLESSING!!! I also came to the realization that it’s not about rules, it’s about loving on Christ and being intimate with Him! If we’re in the word and seeking His face, the above things are going to come naturally with the Holy Spirit in us, that makes my heart happier than you could ever believe!!!

I also realized that I’ve been putting off living out my faith because I wanted to get closer to God…

YES I do need to be in the Word but I can’t delay serving Him because I have to get better first, truth is I’m never going to be perfect, I should strive for Christ, that has to be my mindset because if I strive for perfection, I will fail miserably!

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the BEST USE OF TIME, because the days are evil! Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is! Ephesians 5:15-17

I keep saying I don’t know what I want to do for the rest of my life, this is true but God KNOWS! That’s comforting, so serving Him He will teach me and lead me to where He wants to go, my prayer is that I will listen to the Spirit while working diligently for the Lord!!! I hope you will the do the same! God has a plan, may we obey and follow Him even through the hard time!!!
